Resources for Your Campus Tobacco-Free Policy Ambassador Program

Getting Started Guide

Getting Started with an Ambassador Program Guide

Ambassador Programs have already been successfully implemented on campuses across the nation.  These programs employ students, faculty and staff (sometimes volunteers, sometimes paid) to approach individuals smoking or using tobacco on campus to gently remind them of the campus policy and to offer cessation resources available on campus.

Groups or pairs of Policy Ambassadors would spend a set amount of hours per week making rounds on campus, paying special attention to “hot spots” on campus where people tend to gather to use tobacco.
